Ukraine entered the TOP-40 ranking of ease of Doing business-2018 in terms of "Obtaining permits for construction", having improved its position with 140 places to 35th among 190 countries.
This was announced by the Deputy Minister of regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine Lev Partskhaladze on his page in Facebook.
"We have thirty-fifth place! We went up to 105 points! Ukraine entered the TOP 40 in the Doing Business 2018 in terms of "Obtaining building permits", greatly improving his position. We are very hopeful. In the ranking of Doing Business-2017 construction index, Ukraine ranked only 140. We had great hope that the rankings by the experts will take into account legislative changes that have occurred in the field of construction," he said.
According to Partskhaladze, the indicator "Obtaining construction permits" had a significant impact on the overall Doing Business ranking. "Deregulation in the construction has become one of the key reforms, which did not let Ukraine fall in the overall rankings and helped to improve the country's position overall by 4 points," — said the Deputy Minister.
Recall, October 31, 2017, the world Bank published a new ranking of ease of doing business — Doing Business in 2018. According to the results, Ukraine ranked 76th place among 190 countries. According to the estimates of world Bank experts, a point in the rating gives an opportunity to attract the country's economy around $ 600 million investment.
